Dr. William Rosenblatt

Dr. Rosenblatt has dedicated his life’s work to educating healthcare professionals with advanced airway techniques and lifesaving skills.   Dr. Rosenblatt is nationally renowned for his skills and accomplishments as a Professor of Anesthesiology at the esteemed Yale University.  He also travels throughout the world teaching AIRWAY ON DEMAND courses in many different countries.

While supporting increased patient safety, Dr. Rosenblatt’s goal is to change the standard of care with hands-on training and education for all aspects of airway management. Dr. Rosenblatt’s Biographical Info.

Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery (Otolaryngology) at the Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Rosenblatt is a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at Stanford, before training in Anesthesiology at Yale. Soon after completing his residency in Anesthesiology, he founded REMEDY (Recovered Medical Equipment for the Developing World), which has a nation and worldwide reach. His patient care, academic, teaching and research interest is in difficult airway management. His two most significant contributions in this field are the Airway Approach Algorithm and Preoperative Endoscopic Airway Examination. He is past president of the Society for Airway Management and the 2010 winner of the SAM Distinguished Service Award. He is the author of several textbook chapters regarding airway management, including chapters in Clinical Anesthesia, edited by Barash, Cullen and Stoelting, and in Benumof’s Airway Management, edited by Hagberg. He has contributed to more than a dozen other monographs in English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. He has written more than 30 original articles and has given over 200 live presentations. His refresher course, entitled Awake Intubation Made Easy!, is a perennial favorite at the ASA.
